A Strong Foundation With New Age Strategies

Chris Consulting Group Inc. is a consulting firm dedicated to helping not-for-profit organizations build, strengthen, and prepare for the future.

We understand that running a nonprofit is about more than having a great idea. It requires the right structure, thoughtful planning, effective programs, strong leadership, sustainable funding, and systems that support the work.

That’s where we come in.

We work alongside nonprofit organizations at different stages of their journey from individuals who are just beginning to explore an idea for a nonprofit to established organizations looking to strengthen their operations and prepare for what’s next.

Christopher Thompson

Christopher Thompson is a social entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, and community builder with more than 15 years of experience working in community engagement, nonprofit development, and organizational capacity building.

Christopher is the founder and Executive Director of Skills for Life, a charity he established in 2016 focused on life-skills development for youth and young adults. He also serves as Executive Director of the Federation of Black Canadians, a national nonprofit organization working to advance the social, economic, political, and cultural interests of Canadians of African descent.

Through these experiences, Christopher has built organizations, developed teams, supported community initiatives, worked with boards, and helped organizations navigate the challenges that come with growth and change. He has helped grassroots organizations grow from having no funding or staff into organizations managing annual budgets ranging from 0 to more than $2 million.

His experience also includes working with the United Way of Greater Toronto and Peel, where he supported emerging community organizations and nonprofits with capacity building, governance, operations, grant opportunities, collaboration, and community connections.

Christopher founded Chris Consulting Group to bring that practical experience directly to nonprofit organizations and help them establish strong foundations, navigate challenges, adapt to a changing environment, and build for long-term success.
